women services

Thank you for making me
feel myself again

If you are a woman living with HIV we are here to help. We offer support around dealing with your diagnosis, dating and relationships, maintaining a good physical and mental health, pleasurable and safer sex, pregnancy or contraception. You can also talk to us if you want to know about your rights as a woman living with HIV.

Living with HIV isn’t something you have to deal with on your own. Our Women’s Room group for women living with HIV meets the second Wednesday of every month.

Facilitated by trained and knowledgeable staff and peer mentors, the group provides a safe, friendly space for you to get peer support, build life skills, have fun and socialise. Each month focuses on a different theme. Travel cost reimbursement and refreshments are provided too.

Our Mentor Mothers are women who have been through the pregnancy journey whilst living with HIV themselves.

They are trained to provide emotional and practical support around all aspects of the pregnancy journey, including talking about HIV to others, treatment, delivery options, and aftercare. A mentor mother can be like a friend by your side to support you, give you information, or simply talk through all your concerns during and after pregnancy.

We provide family support to parents of children 0-5 years old. We organise external days out and also on-site group sessions for the children and their carers to come and meet and play.

This is the most important period of growth for your little ones and the more experiences you can provide them during this phase the better brain development they will achieve.

Women need to share stories and connect.Positive Talks creates safe spaces and opportunities for women, of all ages and backgrounds, to gather together and explore different activities and talk.

The project is funded by MIND and allows us to support our emotional wellbeing by encouraging open conversations of the issues that affect us as women living with HIV. We can laugh, and we can cry and we can cry laughing, by discovering something or somewhere new and discussing what we think and feel about it.

We host various workshops covering issues that matter to women living with HIV.

Watch out the space for our next workshops on wellbeing, pregnancy, sexual and reproductive rights, advocacy skills, employability and many more!

Catwalk 4 Power is the grassroots movement that was ignited with the spark “let’s have a fashion show to make women living with HIV more visible” that has now grown into a fierce fire!

Empowered to stand strong and take up space, women have embraced the opportunity this platform offers to share their uniqueness and demonstrate that we are more than clothes and heels, we are an incredibly resilient sisterhood. We understand what we need, and we strut towards success on every level.
