Volunteers play a vital role at Positively UK. The voice of volunteers is vital to inform our projects and the work that we do. By volunteering your time, you can make a difference to the lives of people living with HIV that we support, and in the community. We are committed to help volunteers build on the skills and experiences that you already have.
Our team of committed volunteers have undertaken our three-day, peer support training. Our peer mentors support a diverse group of people living with HIV in our community. Using their own lived experience of HIV to help others make positive change in their lives.
Supporting our groups and events
Our main groups, GayTalk, Women’s Room and Straight Talk are supported by committed volunteers. Our volunteers are hands on with assisting our groups. Volunteers help with administration and providing support to participants. Volunteers also provide vital insight supporting our team to effectively deliver newly diagnosed workshops.
Media, Fundraising and communications.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers! We need volunteers with graphic design experience to create promotional materials for our online and paper communications. PositivelyUK also seek volunteers with fundraising experience to work alongside our fundraising coordinator.
We are developing a creative group to help expand our fundraising in the community. This creative group will meet once a month to work on new ways to fundraise for our vital services.
