Managing your HIV looks different for everybody

Our youth services are run by young people living with HIV that understand like no one else the journey and challenges you may face along the way. We are here to provide practical support and help you achieve the best emotional and physical wellbeing.

So, whether you have recently been diagnosed, are on your journey to adulthood, have questions about managing medications, or dealing with college or personal relationships – we can help. We are positive!

What we do

The youth team at Positively UK offers individual peer support and advice to young people (18 to 30 years old) who are living with HIV. We also gather for social events where we discuss issues, support each other, find meaningful friendships and have fun over delicious food and drinks.

I was so scared and nervous to attend the social, coming from Hillingdon – I talked myself out of coming many times. In the end, I decided to come. It was out of my comfort zone as I am naturally an introvert and very shy, but I am SO glad I came. I arrived, and everyone was so friendly, and they made me feel very relaxed. All the conversations we had and shared were very enlightening. It’s great to have a space to meet other people living with HIV and hear their stories and experiences. I can’t wait to attend more socials and hopefully make lifelong friends!
