Positively UK is committed to the protecting the safety and privacy of your data. This privacy notice tells you how we look after your personal data, about your rights and how the General Data Protection Act protects you.

Personal data, refers to any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. This can include name, phone numbers, address and email address.

Positively UK provides a range of services including, one to one support, training, groups, recruiting, fundraising, staff and volunteers. In order for us to do provide such services, we require your personal information which is consented on your registration.

Depending on the type of service you receive, your details are passed onto third parties, again your consent is sought beforehand.

Positively UK is committed to not keeping your data for longer than it is needed to be retained.

Why do we contact you?

We want to make our services easy to access and give you information about new services and changes at Positively UK. This can include text messages giving you reminders for group meetings and emails about new services.

If you do sign up to receive information about our services, you can withdraw your permission at any time.

You may also opt out of receiving our newsletters by simply clicking the unsubscribe link included in each email newsletter we send to you.

What are your rights?

The General Data Protection Act which came into force on the 25 May 2018 to protect the way personal data is used. You have the right to access all personal data in whether as manual records or electronic format. You also have the right to request to have your personal data removed. We may not be able to comply with all such requests for specific legal reason which we will apprise you of at the time of your request.

How do we look after your data?

Positively UK has to ensure that your personal data is managed and kept secure at all times. Our staff are committed to adhering to our data protection policy. Only authorised members of staff can access this data.

Donations

Donations made through the website are processed by a third party, Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), please see their privacy policies for how they handle donations and personal data.
